#1. (not so) Exceptional SC REFUSES to Disclose Fundraising?: (not so) Exceptional SC leadership reportedly had a conference call with school leaders this week. The question was apparently asked by school leaders …. “how much have you raised so far?”
After attempts to ignore the question failed … school leaders were told Exceptional SC did not want to disclose how much they had raised so far because they were talking to some big donors and did not want to “jinx it”.
Let that sink in …
How Bad Is It???
In 2015 Palmetto Kids FIRST and the other independent non-profits had raised 100% of the available funding in 22 DAYS … and 100% of the scholarships had been fully funded with 60 days. EVERYONE knew how much they would receive in funding … ALL before school started. IT WORKED … GREAT!!!
PKF and the other independent non-profits did not even get to start fundraising until July 1st.
(not so) Exceptional SC got to start this whole process on JANUARY 1ST, 2019. We are now 216 days later … 31 weeks … and NOTHING has been done … no scholarships announced or funded.
That is what we get with a GOVERNMENT APPOINTED BOARD.
