ANOTHER YEAR – ALMOST DOWN THE DRAIN!!!

Just nine legislative days left in the 2021 session … or better said … only 9 days left in the 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR for any hope for scholarships.

What is this … the 5th year in a row of EMPTY PROMISES from legislators … and the 5th year in the row we keep believing legislators???

Until WE … specifically SCHOOL LEADERS & their BOARD MEMBERS … step up and UNIFY in an open demand for INDEPENDENT NON-PROFITS (just like every other program in the nation) … this will not get better.

AND NO … Education Scholarship Accounts (ESAs) are not going anywhere. Democrats have already pledged all out war against ESAs here in SC … and what has occurred this year on the bill … ZERO???

FINAL CHANCE FOR 2021: There is STILL A CHANCE that H 3899 (passed the House, sitting in the Senate) “could” be FIXED … could be amended to include INDEPENDENT NON-PROFITS … and could be sent back to the SC House for final approval … but unless SCHOOL LEADERS ACT NOW … it won’t happen.

The Bully Pulpit: Not our first option … not in our top 100 options … but we have tried everything under the sun … and the only think left is the BULLY PULPIT!!!

We will try again next year … go to all out political war again to EXPOSE the corruption … but with only 9 legislative days left … if no one calls us telling us they are DONE with the LIES from legislators and ready to STAND UP & STAND WITH US IN UNITY … nothing will happen..

It has been an interesting study in human behavior. Everybody knows / tells us we are right, but very few “leaders” do anything. Sad …

We love seeing our communities come together – especially when it comes to Putting Our Palmetto Kids FIRST!

This week our families came together standing up against mask mandates in schools.

On Wednesday, May 12th, SC Superintendent Molly Spearman announced the state would be canceling the current face mask policy for schools.

A CONSENT FORM TO OPT OUT OF FACE MASK REQUIREMENT IMPOSED ON STUDENTS BY A SCHOOL OR SCHOOL DISTRICT was also published on Wednesday, should you need a copy.

Another month, another FAILURE by the (not so) Exceptional SC Board members.

Seriously … $32,450 raised in March 2021 … and certain legislators think INCREASING the administrative fee from 2% to 5% will fix things???

Sorry folks, it won’t change a thing.

INDEPENDENT NON-PROFITS … just like in every other state in the nation … is the only thing that will fix this debacle.

We are at a TIPPING POINT

We are at a TIPPING POINT. Something is going to happen – if we PUSH BACK NOW!!! Time to FINISH STRONG!!!

For the past month or so … since confirming proof of EMBEZZLEMENT … we have been pushing hard to expose this entire mess to the highest levels. The various lawsuits are heating up … and the pressure is mounting. And we are not stopping!!!

That includes in particular GOVERNOR MCMASTER’S Office … Lt. Governor Pamela Evette personally … “friendly” school choice legislators that have said they want to fix this …. and LEADERSHIP in the SC House & SC Senate.

And guess what … THEY ALL KNOW and are doing nothing (so far).

WHY? Because the opposition is in full panic mode. They are pulling out all the strings. Pushing ESAs … even getting the BOARD at (not so) Exceptional SC to send out emails calling for support of ESAs. Blaming “Jeff & Olga”. It is in full MELTDOWN MODE … and we are at a TIPPING POINT.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Pick one … we would prefer you call the Governor’s Office (and report back) … but either one works for us in building the TIPPING POINT as all this is coming to a head RIGHT NOW … and we need your help!!!

We have spent countless hours, thousands of calls and emails. Letter after letter. LAWSUITS!!! And hundreds of thousands of dollars PERSONALLY fighting this corruption over the past 7 years. All we are asking for is PARENTS and SCHOOL OFFICIALS to step up and add to the pressure.

We are going to win this … PERIOD … so better to win now than later … and since the Governor’s “friend” has EMBEZZLED MONEY they can’t cover up the problem … so now is the time.
